TED talk on dreams and memories. Sorry for the awful quality, but technology and I do not get along very well.

SUPER AWESOME. I love how you experimented on your parents with the car at a stop sign thing. Really interesting. I like how you used examples of everything, with Liam telling about how he got home, and the experiment with your parents.

I love how it was filled with real experiences, and real examples rather than using other peoples. (Not that their things aren’t real), but I also really love the topic, and how it is interesting, and your presentation was very clear, and I could hear every word you said.

    Woah! Mind blown!
I can’t believe I might not even be who I think I am! I might really be, like, some wimpy, self-centered, uncaring person, but I’ve spent so much time convincing myself to be the person I act like that I become who I think I am? Wow. As I was writing that sentence, I got more and more confused.
So, lie detectors will basically never work until we can tell, not only when we’re lying to the interviewer/authorities, but also when we’re lying to ourselves. If they ever invent one of those, maybe we should all just go use it just to see how much of who we are is lies. Okay, hmm, that’s creepy to think about too…
Anyways, I liked how you made your own examples and showed us what you meant, instead of only telling us.
    Great job, Chelsea!

Amazing topic! and lexi your a wounderful caring non- self centered person :P anyway I loved all the research, it seemed like you put alot of time into your topic. I especially enjoyed the information about Rems Sleep. and the other 5 stages of sleep. I was woundering if rems sleep is linked to sleep walking? I also agree with your statement of a dream changing a memory, I know there have been times when I have remembered something and been corrected by someone who remembers the event in a completely different way. It”s amazing to hear that dreams can change our memories. I also found the experiment with the rats and a beep interesting, and how it was so easy to make the rats forget abut the shock that came after the beep. Overall amzing TED talk! was well researched and I loved your topic!

Unique topic Chelsea. This is something anyone can connect to. I thought it was really accurate and informing. One suggestion would be to include some graphs or charts to go along with your presentation. However, I like the way you use real-life examples. I’m wondering… How come sometimes you can’t remember your dream/dreams?

Hey Chelsea, I really like how you conducted experiments yourself to prove what you read. I think that this topic really forces people to rethink how they view other people based on what they know, because others may have completely different opinions. I also really like how you were very articulate in your speaking, and there was no background noise.

It’s amazing how some people believe that your brain is more powerful than a computer, and your talk has given me a different perspective on my possibly very inefficient brain. Possibly having a memory of something or someone that’s besides the truth really gets me thinking about how I view other people, and how any possible good or bad memories may obscure my judgement.

Great topic, great talk and great job overall :)

    Hey Chelsea,

This was eye-opening!:) You really kept my interest throughout your TED Talk with clips of your own examples. The information presented was easy to understand and your pronunciation was clear.

In the TED Talk, you said that only during REM is when we dream. So basically, when we sleep walk, does it happen during REM?

It’s funny how our memories change a little bit everytime we talk about it. Does that mean that our brains can alter our memories into something completely different?

Great job Chelsea, I really enjoyed listening to your TED TALK!
